I'm an old hippie, you know-Peace&Love-(no drugs) planning to move to Ireland permanently. I attended college 3 years with a major in Art and a minor in business. I was a Production Supervisor at the John Deere Tractor factory in Waterloo, Iowa. Now retired with a small pension. Have restored historic houses and am looking for a fixer upper in Ireland to use as home base for travelling here and through Europe in my 1971 VW Campervan. Researching my Irish ancestors in Taum and Killalla. Want to travel the world someday soon also. acchu Picchu Is high on the list along with Barcelona and Paris for the art and architecture. Into Neolithic Tombs, Have traveled the U.S. in a V.W. camper and plan to do that in Europe. Love medieval castles, towns, Neolithic structures, history in general. Favorite music is 60' and 70's rock&roll, Clannad, Enya, and most Irish music. Also Dire Straits, Leonard Cohen,Eagles and the list goes on..... Have many interests: Love ethnic foods - Indian, Mexican, Greek and my own version of Irish stew. Ran a Bed&Breakfast in U.S and hosted then Vice President Al Gore the day he announced his candidacy for President there.. I'm an organic gardener, have been since the 70's when Mother Earth News was the "back to lander's" bible. Love the Sea and am currently living in and fixing up an old coast guard station on Clew Bay.
